With reference to clause 6 of the
Pension Minute, I have the honour to suggest that in the
case of Civil Servants domiciled in Asia the Medical
Certificate referred to should be furnished by the Princi-
-pal Civil Medical Officer and Superintendent of the
Government Civil Hospital and that in the case of Officers
not so domiciled the certificate should emanate from the
Board composed of the Principali Civil Medical Officer, the
Principal Medical Officer (or in his absence the Senior
Officer, Royal Army Medical Corps) if willing to serve
and a duly qualified Medical Practitioner unconnected

with the Government Service and nominated by the Governor.
Fees should be paid at the rate of £2 2 O each to the
two latter members of the Board by the applicant for
pension.
